How do I sign in?
Shelf Life uses passwordless magic links. Enter your email on the sign-in page and we send you a secure link that expires in 15 minutes. Tap it and you are in. There is no password to remember or reset.
How do expiry alerts work?
When you add an item, set its expiry date. Shelf Life notifies you 7, 3, and 1 days before that date so you can use the item while it is still good. Items expiring soonest always surface at the top of your dashboard.
What is the difference between Free, Pro, and Lifetime?
Free covers up to 20 tracked items with expiry notifications and a shopping list. Pro ($2.99/month) unlocks unlimited items, smart recipe suggestions, family sharing for up to 6 members, waste analytics, and priority alerts. Lifetime ($19.99 one time) gives you every Pro feature forever with a single payment.
How do I scan barcodes?
Barcode scanning is available in the Shelf Life mobile app. Open the Scan tab, point your camera at a packaged item, and the product details fill in automatically. On the web app you can add items manually in seconds.
How does family sharing work?
On Pro and Lifetime plans you can invite up to 6 household members to a shared pantry. Everyone sees the same inventory in real time, so no one buys duplicates and nothing gets forgotten at the back of the shelf.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
Open Settings inside the app to manage your plan. Monthly Pro subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and remain active until the end of the billing period. Lifetime purchases are one time and never renew.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email us at support@shelflifetracker.com from your account address and request deletion. We remove your account and all associated pantry data within 30 days.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your data is stored with industry standard encryption on SOC 2 compliant infrastructure. We never sell or rent your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.
